Jack Fagan

Jack started shearing because he wanted to travel the world and buy his own farm. He’s won 11 open Speed Shears competitions this year and 1 open competition. During the main season, Jack shears an incredible 300 to 500 sheep per day.

Floyde Neil

Floyde is a professional shearer from Australia with an ambition to beat many records in the shearing world, and has already smashed numerous records: 330 merino ewes in an incredible 8 hours, 440 merino lambs in 8 hours and 520 sheep with strong wool in 8 hours. He was inspired to start shearing and reach for these records by his Dad, also a keen shearer and the immense ‘buzz’ he got from the shearing competitions.

Tony Coster

Tony has been shearing since he was 18 and jumped into competitions soon after. He’s been a member of the Trans Tasman Team on a few occasions. He has won National Competitions and has represented his home country of New Zealand multiple times in UK competitions.

Tony is a father to two 28-year-old daughters and is also a grandad to his 9-month-old granddaughter and has a small shearing run that keeps him busy for most of the year.

Casey Bailey

Casey is a shearer from NZ, getting through an average of 300 to 400 ewes and 400 to 500 lambs. He was introduced to shearing by his father who is also a shearer, when in the school holidays he would go to work with him, his father showing him the basics of getting around a sheep.

Jimmy Samuels

Jimmy watched his father shear from a young age, who taught his brother, and his brother introduced him. At the age of 18, Jimmy started full-time shearing and worked in Southland until he turned 21, moving to the north and picked up competitive shearing. He has an impressive 48 Speed Shear wins and a high tally of 625 lambs shorn and 525 ewes.

Brett Roberts

Shearing has always been in Brett’s blood, with many members of his family all being in the trade, its no wonder he is as skilled and passionate as he is. Heres a few of his shearing achievements:

Delwyn Jones

Delwyn is from Ruthin in Wales and has lived in Te Kuiti, New Zealand for the last 10 years. He is from a shearing family and from a young age always wanted to be a shearer.

His father worked as a shearer, helping to inspire him to do what he does and travel the world. Delwyn can shear 300 to 400 sheep a day… and a few more if he needs to.
